Looking north east down Woodgrove Road towards Turf Moor and The Ridge. Gone are the gym (which stood to the right of the footpath immediatley beyond the site fence) and classroom wings (which ran parallel to the fence and mound of earth away to the right).

The severed end of the Hall (stage end) dominates the remaining building from the Woodgrove Road side. The pitched roof structure of the 1990s is obvious.  The bushes and trees growing in the Quadrangle are conspicuous in all these photographs. Broken brick in the foreground all that remains of the gymn and classrooms.

Here at the bottom of Woodgrove Road, behind the fence, the brick wall  is the last remnant of the gateway into the junior yard where we started our TTHS careers. Behind the Hall, and at right-angles, the art room was poised above the administration area (along with the staircase, water tank and chimney) facing, on the far side, onto Towneley Holmes.

Only one pile of rubbish remains, whilst all over the site piles of top soil are accumulating, ready to obliterate the last traces of the Towneley School buildings.
